Women’s Military History Month in Nevada

Official proclamation from the State of Nevada Executive Department issued by the Governor.

WHEREAS, Women's History Month provides the opportunity to shine a light on the courageous women who donned a military uniform and served our country; and;

WHEREAS, from the earliest times, women have helped shape our nation in many ways including defending our Nation as members of the U.S. Armed Forces; and;

WHEREAS, women serve our nation with valor and distinction in times of peace and in times of war, with more than a quarter of a million women currently serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces today; and;

WHEREAS, women from across the United States and in Nevada have contributed to the great achievements and prosperity of America and our great State of Nevada, demonstrating leadership, courage, and determination that should be honored and recognized;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the month of March 2026 as

WOMEN’S MILITARY HISTORY MONTH IN NEVADA
