Paseo Verde Little League World Series Champions Day in Nevada

WHEREAS, Little League seeks to instill the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect in its players so that they may be strong, well-adjusted, happy children who grow to become healthy, upstanding citizens of the community; and

WHEREAS, this season, Paseo Verde Little League beat Montana to take home the Mountain Regional Championship title and secure their spot in the 2026 Little League World Series; and

WHEREAS, the Paseo Verde Little League went on to play five games in the Little League World Series, finishing as the best team in the United States and making Henderson and Nevada proud throughout their journey; and

WHEREAS, the entire community rooted for the Paseo Verde Little League as they represented the best of Henderson, the great state of Nevada and the United States to the world; and

WHEREAS, the City of Henderson has prepared a champions celebration on September 19, 2026, to showcase the love and support of our community and recognize the achievements of the three coaches and 13 team members of Paseo Verde Little League; and

WHEREAS, the City of Henderson has a mission to provide services and resources that enhance the quality of life to those who live, learn, work and play in our city; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada and the City of Henderson proudly congratulate the Paseo Verde Little League on their historic victory in the U.S. Little League World Series, honoring their dedication, teamwork, and perseverance and celebrating the tremendous pride they have brought to Henderson and to all Nevadans; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim September 19, 2026, as

PASEO VERDE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS DAY IN NEVADA
