A Day in Honor of Renee Polley

WHEREAS, Renee Polley has honorably served the State of Nevada since January 1999 as a dedicated member of the Division of Child and Family Services, contributing more than 25 years to improving the lives of children and families; and

WHEREAS, throughout her career in children's mental health residential services, Renee demonstrated exceptional professionalism, compassion, and steadfast commitment to supporting some of Nevada's most vulnerable youth; and

WHEREAS, Renee began her service as direct care staff, providing hands on support, guidance, and stability to children in residential care, consistently modeling integrity, patience, and dedication; and

WHEREAS, through perseverance, skill, and strong leadership, Renee advanced through progressively responsible roles to become a Clinical Program Manager, offering invaluable direction, mentorship, and oversight to staff and programs within the Division of Child and Family Services; and  

WHEREAS, her expertise and unwavering advocacy for high quality behavioral health services has strengthened Nevada's residential treatment programs and improved outcomes for countless children and families; and

WHEREAS, her colleagues, community partners, and the families she served have benefited greatly from her wisdom, empathy, and steadfast commitment to public service; and

WHEREAS, as Renee concludes her distinguished career with the State of Nevada, her legacy of service, leadership, and dedication will continue to positively influence the field of children's mental health for years to come.  We extend heartfelt best wishes for a joyful, healthy, and fulfilling retirement; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim August 1, 2026, as a day in honor of
