A Day in Honor of Michael Roy Richardson

WHEREAS, Michael Roy Richardson has served the State of Nevada with exceptional dedication and distinction for 29 years; and

WHEREAS, his service with the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection has spanned more than 29 years; and

WHEREAS, throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to public service, contributing to the protection of the environment and the health of Nevadans and visitors by assuring safe and reliable disposal of hazardous and solid waste; and

WHEREAS, Mike has concluded his career as Supervisor of Compliance and Enforcement (Southern Nevada), Bureau of Sustainable Material Management, bringing his knowledge and experience to his position, while helping to pave the way for those who follow; and  

WHEREAS, Mike has exemplified kindness, understanding, and unwavering dedication, and has generously mentored and coached countless peers, fostering growth and excellence across the Division of Environmental Protection; and  

WHEREAS, Mike will be truly missed, both professionally and personally, by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada expresses its gratitude to Michael Roy Richardson for 29 years of outstanding service and extends its best wishes for a happy, healthy and fulfilling retirement; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim May 22, 2026, as a day in honor of
