A Day in Honor of Evelyn Oberes

WHEREAS, Evelyn has demonstrated unwavering dedication as a Developmental Support Technician 4, such as providing support to the graveyard staff and residents since September 6, 1997; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn's ability to provide support to staff and those they serve ensured that Nevadans received exceptional care and respect; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn's commitment to the State of Nevada and her dependable work ethic has been recognized by her peers and has ensured that the appropriate resources and supports are in place for individuals with intellectual disabilities; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn has provided exceptional services to the State of Nevada as a Developmental Support Technician 4, for Desert Regional Centers; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn now embarks on a new chapter of her life, the Department of Health and Human Services/ADSD on behalf of its employees and individuals extends to Evelyn its sincere thanks and gratitude for her years of commitment to excellence and service to the citizens of the Silver State; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim October 1, 2026, as a day in honor of
