A Day in Honor of Eric Chandler

WHEREAS, Eric Chandler is retiring from the Nevada Department of Public Safety - Nevada State Police on September 24, 2026, after over 26 years of dedicated service to the people of the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Eric started his career with the State of Nevada at the Department of Human Services on December 20, 1999; and

WHEREAS, Eric transferred to the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation on May 7, 2007, and has served the people of the State of Nevada in various roles including DPS Officer and DPS Sergeant; and

WHEREAS, Eric has admirably and steadfastly performed his duties while also showing great compassion for others, both those we serve and his peers; and 

WHEREAS, Eric has had a remarkable career in public service and has left a mark on those who had the opportunity to work with him; and 

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation, and the State of Nevada join his friends, family and colleagues in expressing our sincere appreciation for his 26 years of distinguished service to the residents of our Silver State. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
